Summary

We need people to join us in creating a huge red ribbon of light!

Each participant is encouraged to wear red and will be given red lights to hold up, to make the human red ribbon, as we take a photo to be shared with the city. This event will show unity as we stand together to celebrate how far we have come since the beginning of the HIV/AIDS epidemic and show we’re against HIV related stigma.

World Aids Day is held on December 1 each year and is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, show their support for people living with HIV and to commemorate people who have died. It was the first ever global health day, and was held for the first time in 1988.
