Artist Julian Barnard will be carving a 6 meter high Wych Elm tree stump at the Princes Avenue entrance to Pearson Park between June and December 2017.

The carving has been commissioned by the Trustees of Pearson Park under the brief, “poetic”, and has the working title Whispering Sweet Nothings.

You may even be able to talk with the artist as he continues working on the tree (weather dependant).

Another tree carving by the artist, entitled ‘Politician’ completed in 2016, is situated next to the Bowling Green.

Daylight hours are best for viewing.
