Summary

The national celebration of World Refugee Day includes prestigious national speakers, live streaming to international locations, music and cultural displays and arts projects displayed from a range of national refugee communities. The event coincides with Hull’s declaration as a full City of Sanctuary.
Tickets need to be booked in advance.

World Refugee Day is part of Refugee Week, which will celebrate the contribution refugees bring as they find sanctuary in our city. Residents from all corners of the city are invited to join in the carnival atmosphere.

Refugee Week remembers the 65 million people forced to flee persecution and leave their homes, seeking sanctuary in other countries, some have found Hull a place of peace to rebuild and develop new roots.
