Summary

Go beyond the famous aria ‘Nessun dorma’ in The Royal Opera’s famously spectacular production of Puccini’s final masterpiece, which will transport you to legendary China in all its pageantry and savagery, with disguised identities, puzzles and ritual executions. Princess Turandot subjects her suitors to cryptic riddles only to execute them when they fail to answer correctly. Will our hero Calaf solve the riddles and win the Princess? Come and find out at our BP Summer Big Screen.

Pre-performance screening from 7pm. Relay begins at 7.30pm. Gates open at 6.15pm.

TOP TIPS TO ENJOYING THESE EVENTS

  • Why not bring a picnic to enjoy? Drinks will be also be to purchase from McCoys who will be operating within the event site. If you bring your own drink refreshments please ensure they are in plastic bottles and/or decanted into plastic jugs before entering the event site.
  • We recommend bringing a blanket as the audience is generally required to sit on the ground.
  • We provide inflatable cushions and poncho to audiences member upon entry.
  • You may bring your own fold-up seats to this event, however, please be aware there is limited space. You may only position seating in the restricted side areas of the event space as directed by stewards. We reserve the right to ask you not to use chairs when capacity is reached.
  • No animals will be permitted accepted assistance dogs.

Seats
We have a limited number of seats available for those who would find it difficult to sit on the ground. Seats are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and must be booked in advance.

If you require blue-badge parking facilities, please use the city facilities available.
