Tickets are free for this touch tour but please only book if you have a ticket to the concert and you need a place on the touch tour as there are very limited places available. Tickets to the concert need to be booked separately.
Each ticket provides entry to the tour for one participant and one accompany adult. If you need more accompanying tickets, please contact box office.
MUSICAL MODERNISM: WILL GREGORY WITH BBC CONCERT ORCHESTRA & SPECIAL GUESTS.
Goldfrapp’s Will Gregory curates a programme that responds and reacts to Kirchin’s fascination with texture and sonic collage.
In a series of pieces specially devised for the occasion, St. Etienne’s Bob Stanley and Pete Wiggs create Abstractions of Holderness, an audio-visual work inspired by Kirchin’s 1970s residency in East Yorkshire. Sonic Youth’s Jim O’Rourke responds to his favourite Kirchin piece Integration and Will Gregory explores the potential of the human voice.
Pianist and composer Matthew Bourne opens the concert with a highly individual take on Kirchin’s world, while producer, composer and performer Matthew Herbert will contribute a brand new piece that combines sounds from everyday items to create extraordinary music.
If you have purchased a ticket for an event/activity at this venue through hull2017.co.uk, please do not contact the venue direct with enquiries for that purchase as they will be unable to help.
