Dyslexia is a diverse condition, affecting approximately one in 10 adults in the UK. Not all people with dyslexia experience it in the same way.
The Dyslexia Portrait by Hull Photographic Artist Miranda Harr is a photographic project which explores and challenges our ideas about how people with dyslexia see the world.
A range of people with dyslexia from around the UK were interviewed about how they experience dyslexia, and from this, Miranda has produced a series of abstract and creative photographic images which will represent the diversity of their experience, and reflect upon the uniqueness of their world view.
The images are paired with portraits of the people with dyslexia involved in the project, and are accompanied by a layered audio soundtrack of the interviews. This project will challenge what you think you know, and showcase the incredible skills, talent and diversity of people with dyslexia.
