This exhibition looks at the individuals, volunteers and organisations that over the years have braved the elements to save lives and fought to improve safety at sea.
Objects from Hull Museums’ collections illustrate individual acts of courage, notorious tragedies and rescues alongside major advances in the techniques used.
Images from the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, ‘Courage on the Coast’ touring exhibition taken by photographer Nigel Millar link the past to the present.
