To celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, this December Gabrieli revive Praetorius: Mass for Christmas Morning.
This glorious reconstruction of a typical 17th century Lutheran Christmas Mass – the 1994 recording of which remains Gabrieli’s bestselling release on Deutsche Grammophon – is beloved the world over, and for good reason.
Blending intimate solo vocal colours with historical instruments of every shape and size and massed choirs of professional and amateur voices, this is German baroque music at its most thrilling and dynamic.
Join us for the first performance of the revival, where we’ll be joined by young singers from our Gabrieli Roar partners Bradford Catholic Youth Choir, and the David Ross Educational Trust Youth Choir in an event forming part of the final month of Hull UK City of Culture 2017.
If you have purchased a ticket for an event/activity at this venue through hull2017.co.uk, please do not contact the venue direct with enquiries for that purchase as they will be unable to help.
