The annual Older People’s Celebration Event is back to celebrate the achievements and contributions that older people make.
The event, which has a 1940s – 1980s theme, will be compared by singer Chrissy Clark and opened by Councillor Gwen Lunn (Public Health, Prevention & Safeguarding Adults) on Wednesday and followed by a day of live music, reminiscence characters and a fashion show by Age UK.
The Thursday will be opened by Julia Weldon, Director of Public Health and Adult Social Care, continuing where Wednesday left off with dance demonstrations and workshops by Sahara Dance, Hull Folk Dance and wheelchair dancing as well as a stepping back in time Tea Dance.
There will also be information stands to promote services for older people on both days.
Drop-in at any time, 10am-4pm.
