Summary

Inspired by the engaging true story of eight men from Hull who went to fight in the Spanish Civil War and the wives they left behind, this is a production which will lift the spirit and touch the heart.

Performed by the Spotlight Ensemble from Archbishop Sentamu Academy this is the true heart of community theatre in the year of City of Culture.

Catch it at the East Riding Theatre before it takes the name of Hull to the Institute of the Arts in the world capital of culture, Barcelona in July.

Written by Bafta award-winning Jane Thornton, with music by Dave Rotheray (The Beautiful South) and design by Lucy Weller (National Theatre) this is not to be missed.
