Mad Pride presents a kindful eating workshop with Lucy Aphramor, award-winning radical dietitian.
This fun, participatory workshop is for anyone who wants to feel more confident in making food choices that are pleasurable and that support their overall emotional, physical and social wellbeing.
Explore ways of connecting with hunger fullness, satisfaction and how to use nutrition science meaningfully. Consider beliefs that lead to body shame and troubled eating and find out how to use compassion to break the cycle and make peace with food and body.
Through discussion you can explore how stigma, trauma and income can influence eating behaviours.
Lucy’s work is recognised internationally and her practice is shaped by her passion for social justice. She draws on her own experiences of moving beyond troubled eating and shares what she has learned about self-worth, trauma, and the importance of community for telling our story as part of this process.
