One of the most celebrated films of 2017, Hull Film Festival presents a special outdoor screening of LA LA LAND at Stage @The Dock

Winner of 6 Academy Awards including Best Director for writer/director Damien Chazelle and winner of a record-breaking 7 Golden Globe Awards, LA LA LAND is more than the most acclaimed movie of the year – it’s a cinematic treasure for the ages and a vibrant celebration of hope, dreams and love.

LA LA LAND tells the story of Mia (Emma Stone), an aspiring actress, and Sebastian (Ryan Gosling), a dedicated jazz musician, who are struggling to make ends meet in a city known for crushing hopes and breaking hearts. Set in modern day Los Angeles, this original musical about everyday life explores the joy and pain of pursuing your dreams.

19:30 – Stage @The Dock opens for pre-show entertainment (details TBC)
21:30 – LA LA LAND begins

This is a separately ticketed event, and Hull Film Festival week pass-holders do not gain entry to this event and will need to purchase a ticket.

This screening does not include any adverts or trailers, with the film beginning just after 21:30, preceded by a brief introduction.

Tickets are unreserved seating – seat choice is first come, first served, upon doors opening.

Hull Film Festival may search all bags. Please note there are no cloakroom facilities on-site.

This is an outdoor event, so please be prepared for inclement weather. The event will be staged rain or shine.

The film is rated 12A, however, all children under the age of 16 years old, must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All guests require a ticket.
