Artists, craftspeople, sculptors, potters, photographers, textile workers, writers and creatives are to display their work in the Avenues, HU5, for a new, free community arts initiative called Walk Of Art.
Work will be displayed in residents’ homes, gardens and garages in more than 30 locations on Sunday 24 September, from 10am to 4pm. Many of the works of art will be for sale.
In addition, a collective exhibition featuring a number of local artists is to take place in St Cuthbert’s church hall, from 11.30am.
Organiser and artist Jacky Ward Lomax says: “I am inspired by the number of creatives living and working in the Avenues. I have been overwhelmed by the response from local artists and hope to make it a regular event for the area.”
The Hull Walk Of Art covers the area from Marlborough Avenue to Victoria Avenue (between Princes Avenue to Chanterlands Avenue).
