Hull’s funniest festival returns to celebrate it’s 10th anniversary.

We’ll be showcasing a variety of acts and performances including big TV names, family-friendly shows, award winning performers, local and regional comedy talent with a sprinkle of the hottest shows from the UK festival scene, pay what you can comedy shows and the Hullarious Free Fringe.

All looks set to be one of the funniest yet with over forty shows, packed with variety and for all comedy tastes, there’s something to keep everyone entertained. It’s 20 days of jokes and belly laughs not to be missed.

2 NOVEMBER 2017

The Not So Late Show with Ross and Joss

Comedy Mash

It’s the next season of shows for Comedy Mash, Hulls longest running comedy night.  Mixing UK act’s with the best of local talent, it’s a breeding ground for new comedy talent!! MC Steven Rimmer with performances from Patrick Draper, Francis Jenkins, Mandy McCarthy and a headline set from Hulls very own – Gina Jenkinson as Kelli! Taylor.

The Laughlines cast return with another hilarious ‘Sitcom Experience’, a live situation comedy dining experience which evokes Blackadder II and unfolds in real present time. A hilarious evening of pure theatrical improvisational comedy and caricature.

What does Canada’s first woman to have a worldwide Netflix special have in common with Britain’s first woman to have a worldwide Netflix special? They are both single mothers with too many pets. And they are both Katherine Ryan.

Fight your way past the paparazzi to witness a night where we look back across our ten years, with old favourites, special guests, brand new sketches and our musical tribute to Hull, City of Culture. Expect songs, sketches, one- liners, all bound together with filth. Lots and lots of infantile filth.

Ken Dodd

KEN DODD was made Sir Kenneth in HM The Queen’s 2017 New Year’s Honours List. He is an icon and national treasure who has been entertaining audiences or a lifetime of happiness and laughter. Come and enjoy his famous Happiness Show and you’ll be absolutely discumknockerated (that’s Knotty Ash for ‘over the moon’) by a truly tattifelarius (fun-filled) evening of laughter.

Jim Bayes – Light Metal

Jim Bayes is steadily rising in both comedy and acting. With feature film debut Pumpkins due for release in 2018. Jim’s one hour show about battling with his demons clutching a pint of gin in one hand and tofu in the other the jokes come from nowhere and are non stop as the spiral into misery brings out a hilarious misanthropic side of a bloke lost in his own head.

Cold Hard Cache

Cold Hard Cache is the debut comedy adventure from double act The Delightful Sausage, AKA Chris Cantrill and Amy Gledhill. This hilarious tour takes you to the darkest corners of The Internet in a unique show packed with energetic sketches, unsettling illustrations and yeast. Lots of yeast. Ideal for those silly sausages who eat up all their gristle.

Jack Gleadow returns to his Hull native to deliver a work in progress show, come see routines that will tour the UK or routines that will never see the light of day again! Jack Gleadow, is a One Man Variety Show with the use of sounds, stories, one liners and a scooter. Winner of the Amused Moose National New Comic Award 2017, Great Yorkshire Fringe New Comedian of the Year. 2017 and Hull Comedian of The Year. 2016 among many other awards.
