Let Lost In Translation Circus transport you back to the 1940s as they transform Archbishop Sentamu Academy’s stunning atrium into the eclectic Hotel Paradiso.

Starting in the Paradiso lobby and bar, you’ll join hotel staff and guests to witness live swing band Mad Dog Trio playing the sounds of the decade. As the lights dim and the show begins, take your seat and meet Madame and her arch enemy – the dastardly Banker – as he schemes to repossess the hotel.

This cast of highly skilled circus performers will join forces with local participants, including pupils of the school, to tell the dramatic story of the Hotel Paradiso’s battle to stay afloat. Will they manage to stay open, or will they be forced to move on?

Expect thrilling acrobatics, theatrical storytelling, clowning and slapstick in this colourful, loud and funny show from one of the UK’s leading contemporary circus companies.

Produced by Lost in Translations Circus. Featuring specially written music by renowned composer Roger Eno and specialist in composition for circus Peter Swaffer Reynolds.

Back To Ours festival takes place from 13 to 18 Feb. Discover the full line-up.
