Hornsea Carnival 2017 presents A Celebration of Culture.
As Hull and East Riding welcomes City of Culture 2017, Hornsea’s Carnival will be joining in the celebrations with its theme for 2017 “A Celebration of Culture”.
From 21st – 23rd of July, Hornsea celebrates its annual carnival weekend. The carnival has run for 50 years and aims to give the residents and visitors to Hornsea a weekend of diverse events. It is the biggest free carnival in East Yorkshire and attracts an average of 25,000 visitors over 3 days.
As well as the established parade, fireworks, live music, outdoor arena events and community craft and food tents, the carnival will be hosting local artists in residence. Artists from all mediums will have the opportunity to exhibit work and create new pieces referencing their experiences of the carnival weekend.
The motto of the weekend is “your community, your carnival” so make sure you get involved.
If you have purchased a ticket for an event/activity at this venue through hull2017.co.uk, please do not contact the venue direct with enquiries for that purchase as they will be unable to help.
