Art and industry combine to mark the 100-year anniversary of Marcel Duchamp’s controversial Fountain and 200 years of British ceramic manufacturers, Armitage Shanks.
Led by Hull School of Art and Design, Armitage Shanks and Hull’s arts community, Fountain 17 has commissioned artists, writers and musicians to produce works inspired by Duchamp’s most notorious “readymade”.
Hull School of Art and Design (HSAD) alumni Neville Gabie and John Davies, and many others will exhibit at Kingston Art Group, Studio Eleven and the Humber Street Gallery, with work by local colleges, schools, community and prison groups also featuring at the Brodrick Gallery, Hull School of Art and Design, Queens Gardens.
