Summary
Amy Johnson, a pioneering woman who entered a man’s world and with determination achieved her goal. On 5 May 1930 Amy set off on her historic flight to Australia. The Colours of Music Orchestra celebrate her and other courageous women who over the years have fought for a cause close to their heart.
Students from Frederick Holmes, Northcott, Ganton and Tweendykes Schools as well as young people from Hull Rhythm Pixies, Route One and Chaos Youth Centres will be working with Spin Off Production, musicians and a film maker.
The performance is taking place on Saturday 2 July, part of the Amy Johnson Festival celebrations. This is taking place at the Albermarle Centre with a 2pm start. The Lord Mayor of Hull Councillor Sean Chaytor will be opening the performance.
The performance is open to the public and tickets are available to book via email at spinofftheatre@spinofftheatre.karoo.co.uk or online via Hull Box Office.
