Summary

An extraordinary parade filled with moving creations and characters will take to the streets of the Orchard Park Estate. Creatures on wheels, walkers on stilts, giant puppets, bands, and hundreds of handmade costumes created by Orchard Park residents will bring colour and music to the streets. This project is led by Handmade Parade in a unique collaboration with Hull Carnival Arts and Rag And Bone.

Artists from all three companies will embark on a month long residency at St Michael’s Youth Project throughout April, delivering free creative workshops to produce costumes and artworks that will feature in the procession.

Part of the Creative Communities Programme.

The parade will take place on Saturday 6 May, from 2pm. Check out the route on the map below.
