Dead of Night: Hull Horror Film Festival – Festival Pass

The Festival Pass gives you access to 8 films and events screening at Vue Cinema Hull (Fri 27 October – Tue 31 October 2017).

Dead of Night, a five-night festival of new, classic and cult horror movies to frighten the pants off you over the Halloween weekend.

From Dario Argento’s witchcraft masterpiece Suspiria, to Better Watch Out, a fresh spin on home invasion horror, Dead of Night has all bases covered for fright fans in Hull.

Plus, Cult Cinema Sunday return with their Mystery Movie at Fruit while the award-winning Middle Child theatre company take on the Ghostbusters script in an anarchic read-through at Vue Cinema.

All film screenings will be supported by short films from acclaimed claymation filmmaker Lee Hardcastle.

Hold onto your pants and popcorn, things are about to get terrifying!

TRAGEDY GIRLS

A twist on the slasher genre following two death-obsessed teenage girls who use their online show about real-life tragedies to send their small mid-western town into a frenzy and cement their legacy as modern horror legends.

HELLRAISER (30TH ANNIVERSARY RESTORATION)

The directorial debut from horror novelist Clive Barker stars Sean Chapman as a man who buys a strange Chinese puzzle box in a sex shop only to discover that its solution opens a portal to Hell.

Young and beautiful Kira is afflicted with a strange disease: her skin starts to age rapidly, dry out and crumble away. When she discovers that she can replace her own skin with somebody else’s, she has to choose: watch her own body wither and die – or give in to temptation… whatever the price.

40th anniversary screening of Dario Argento’s masterpiece, back to the big screen in its newly restored version, as part of the CultFilms UK tour of Suspiria 4K. A newcomer to a prestigious ballet academy comes to realize that the school is a front for something sinister amidst a series of grisly murders.

Alcoholic werewolf cop Lou Garou springs into action when an eccentric businessman with evil intentions seduces Woodhaven’s residents with a new brewery and hockey team in this outrageous horror-comedy sequel.

THE EXORCIST: EXTENDED DIRECTOR’S CUT

When a teenage girl is possessed by a mysterious entity, her mother seeks the help of two priests to save her daughter.

Tickets to Cult Cinema Sunday: Halloween Mystery Movie are not included in Dead of Night Passes and must be purchased separately.

Festival Pass holders will have the 24 Vue VIP leather seats reserved for their use at all screenings. Seat choice is first come, first served, upon doors opening, with pass holders needing to choose their own standard seat should all the VIP seats already be occupied.

Festival Pass holders MUST arrive at least 10 minutes before the performance start time to claim their seat. With 10 minutes remaining until film start, for any very busy screenings, any unclaimed pass holder seats may be re-sold on the door to the public.

The Full Festival Pass pass is not available via the Vue Box Office online or at the cinema, Tickets available via Hull Box Office online, over the phone or on the door on the night of the screening.

Please bring the ticket you receive from Hull Box Office to the first screening you attend, to exchange it with festival staff for your Full Festival Pass lanyard. Lanyards will NOT be posted out to you.

These screenings do not include any adverts or trailers, with the film beginning just after the advertised start time, preceded by a brief introduction and short film.
