Casting on Humber presents HERE. A theatre adventure and unique live exchange unfolding in Hull’s Marina – celebrating a new collision of movement, music, clowning and voices. Playing on and offshore, in between and off course. Performance devised by the company, evolving throughout the week between movers, makers and creative communities in Hull and beyond. HERE we discover new territory. HERE we are adventurers without maps.
Led by artist Sarah Louise Davies drawing on pioneering community Park Bench, this collaboration between two social inclusion charities, The Sobriety Project and Castaway Goole Accessible Music Theatre, brings a brand new production by experienced learning disabled actors, performed on board the Humber keel barge Sobriety. The performance unfolds in Hull’s Docks and Fruit Market, exploring new cultural trading relationships.
With a series of shows both on and off shore in Hull Marina, Sobriety will also become a pop-up creative space in between performances, bringing interactive theatre, spectacle and music, before a celebratory final departure.
Performances will start at 11am, 1pm and 3pm daily.
