Summary

A Brief History of The Coolest Instrument in the World marks the milestones of the electric guitar through 80 years of popular culture, from Chuck Berry to Jimi Hendrix.

This show celebrates the great guitarists through the ages, celebrating the versatility of the instrument. Will your favourite guitar hero be featured?

The show’s been devised by Chris Montague, one of the UK’s most innovative guitarists and a founding member of Troyka. He’s widely recognised for his skills as a composer and performer and he’ll be joined in this show by Conor Chaplin (bass), Tim Giles (drums), and Michael L Roberts (vocals/piano).

This unique live show also provides the opportunity for local amateur guitarists to join Chris and his band on stage at the beginning of the performance. They’ll be performing an original piece, composed by Chris.
