Summary

‘Balancing Act’ is an exhibition of photographs by Craig Thompson who builds his balancing sculptures on the beaches of Filey, Flamborough and Bridlington using stones found on site. They exist until he has photographed them and then they disappear on the next tide.

He explains: ‘I want the pictures to be as natural as possible while at the same time appearing to be unnatural, strange and beautiful. I also love the fact that the only place the sculpture can exist in the future is in the photograph.’
