Summary

Africa Fashion Week is a celebration of cultural diversity and creative fashion ideas; this free event will bring the city to life.

The iconic catwalk event is organized by Creative Minds, a non-profit organization in Hull that uses creative art and skills like sewing and crafts to bring people together. They encourage sharing skills life experiences, companionship, healthy relationships and cultural wellbeing too.

There will be also be upcoming designers from Hull College, Wilberforce College and University of Hull showing their collections. The events are a unique opportunity to gain insights into and appreciate the beauty and versatility of African fabrics, fashion and culture.

There will also be performances between runway shows, including music and dance, hosted by Kofi Smiles, BBC correspondent for Hull UK City of Culture 2017.
