Revolutionary Makers

Artists: Schools & Communities

Creative Director: Alinah Azadeh

For WOW Hull an artist was commissioned to lead on an ambitious, collaborative craft project inviting communities to celebrate the history of craft, design and industry in Hull. Inspired by the rich history of Hull, in particular, the strong women that have led to change, to innovation and to the retelling of stories here in the city.

Over 1,000 Craftivist badges were created across community groups and schools. Led by artists Jess, Pru and Liz, with the support of Alinah Azadeh, people came together to create reflective pieces celebrated by the power of women.
