It’s not easy discussing topical issues. Even the wisest in society struggle to express this.

In a year of culture, Hull celebrated equality through Women of the World festival, Pride and other large scale one off spectacles. But we knew that it was perhaps harder to talk about equality in a frank and honest way.

One Day Creative are not scared to hide away from these issues, and pride themselves on exploring difficult subjects with students and pupils, often through expressive arts.

Together with six primary schools they delivered a yearlong residency (over three terms) to celebrate that Hull has many ways of expressing themselves, and not just one.
