Meet Richard Harries – spoken word artist from Withernsea

Richard shares his love of writing poetry, from ‘Vera Loves Withernsea’ to ‘Pirate Izzy’.

Richard Harries is a passionate, retired Grandad whose poems are influenced by everything from the silly things in life to the dramatic events that shape who we become.

We ventured down to Bricolage Café in Hull (where Richard regularly entertains the locals with his spoken word) to chat about his love of Hull, the inspiration behind his work and having his own words turned into a stage performance.

Make sure you check out some of Richard’s poetry online at his YouTube channel too – RCPoems.
