Meet the artist: Saffron Waghorn

Meet Saffron – stonemasonry sculptor from Skipsea, East Yorkshire.

Our Meet the Artist series aims to delve into the lives and creative processes of people from a mix of artistic backgrounds, based in Hull, East Yorkshire and the rest of the UK.

In the first in a series of video interviews, we took a trip to meet Skipsea-based sculptor Saffron Waghorn who tells us all about her inspiration for her work, her love of stone and her involvement with A Moth for Amy – a public art project celebrating the life and achievements of Amy Johnson, running as part of the Amy Johnson festival from 1 July – 6 September.

To get in contact with Saffron or for more information about all things moth, get in touch with the Amy Johnson Festival
