Humber Street Sesh is expanding!

Best get your early bird tickets folks – you’re in for a treat

Humber Street Sesh (HSS), which celebrates the very best emerging talent from the region and beyond, has announced that it will expand in 2018 thanks to its continued success. The festival will kick off on the evening of Fri 3 Aug, in addition to the staple Sat 4 Aug. A run of 5,000 discounted early bird tickets will be made available for the festival from Mon 11 Dec to 14 January, costing £5 each.

For HSS 2018, the Friday evening will feature exclusive performances from previous Sesh headliners over the past six years. Running from 7pm to 11pm, the night will take place in a new area, soon to be revealed.

The staple Saturday, which runs from 11am to 11pm, will encompass the expanded site and the usual festival site of The Marina, Humber Street and other surrounding areas.

Festival organisers say that the structure of the two-day event will champion their key principles, which are to provide a platform for emerging talent and become the region’s talent pipeline.

Mark Page, festival founder and director, said “We‘re very excited about Sesh 2018. The festival has outgrown itself and after the huge success of 2017we have acted on the public call for a two-day event.

Friday night will feature past Sesh headliners with a few special guests. Our usual Saturday will stay true to our ethos of providing a powerful platform for the creative brilliance of this area and beyond”.

Festival director, Dave Mays, said “As well as providing a wider platform for artists, the bigger site will alleviate the intensity of the festival, allowing Humber Street and its businesses to operate at full potential. Site expansion will minimise disruption to The Marina businesses in terms of improved parking and noise management. Facilities will also be improved to enhance the festival experience.”

Following the early bird offer, wristbands for each day will be £10 advance and £15 on the gates.
