Did you hold the power of Hull’s voice in Pickering Park?

Mysterious lights in Pickering Park Pool, people who looked like Ghostbusters and a lot of ooohs and ahhhhs – what was it all about?

Between 26 September and 1 October, the community around Pickering Park were invited to visit Act IV: Re-Rediffusion’s Voice Park, created by transformative public arts companyAswarm.

Throughout July and August, members of Re-Rediffusion travelled around Hull visiting groups and grabbing people in the streets to contribute their voices to a fourth Act of Wanton Wonder. The culmination of this was Voice Park, an attempt to reverse the Rediffusion network by bringing a number of voices back into one single place.

Making the collective power of Hull’s voice tangible enough to be held, touched, played with and walked through, people were invited to join Re-Rediffusion to find the elusive Essence de Voix and explore the many facets of Voice Park on their quest.
