Ticket holders for BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend are required to purchase a ticket for the official Shuttle Bus/Park & Ride services to get to the event site. This is to ensure that all ticket holders can get to and from the event site as safely and smoothly as possible and reduce congestion in the local area.
For safety reasons it will not be possible to walk to the event site. There are also no public parking facilities available in and around the event site area and traffic management restrictions will be in place. If you breach traffic management restrictions, your vehicle may be towed.
Please do not try and drive to the event – there will be no public car parking available on site or in the local area. Some roads in the local area will be closed, or have restricted access, meaning it will not be possible for people to be dropped off close to the site.

WHAT SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE?
Regular shuttle bus services will run from all locations to Burton Constable Hall from 9am to 1.15pm on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 May. A large number of customers will be using the Shuttle Bus/Park & Ride services so please ensure you allow plenty of time for your journey.
Hourly return journeys from Burton Constable will begin at 2.30pm, the frequency of the services will increase throughout the afternoon, peaking as the event stages begin to close down.
Shuttle Bus services are priced at £13 per person. Secure parking is available at Park & Ride sites for an additional charge of £7.50 per car.
If you wish to use the Park & Ride service please book services from Normandy Barracks, Leconfield. If you wish to use the Shuttle service only, please travel from Hull Paragon Interchange.
Please note the services running from Walton Street and Grove Hill have now reached capacity and no longer bookable.

TRAVEL BOOKING DEADLINE
Shuttle Bus / Park & Ride booking will now be extended until 25 May 2017, 5pm. Tickets purchased from 18 May onwards will issued as digital print@home tickets only. You can either print out your print@home tickets or present them on a functioning mobile device.
We will not be operating a ticket re-printing and/or look-up service at any of transport locations. It is your responsibility to ensure you bring along the correct valid tickets/wristbands. You will not be permitted to board and/or utilise any services without presenting valid tickets/wristbands and will be required to make a new purchase.*
For customers who fail to book in advance, tickets for transport services will be available for purchase on the day, but the price will increase to cover the additional administration costs. Prices will be as follows:

CAN I GET A TAXI?
There will only be a limited drop-off point at the event for licensed taxis and private hire vehicles and we understand that many local taxi firms are choosing not to take bookings due to the traffic restrictions, which will increase journey times. We are advising that taxi and private hire vehicles drop ticket holders at Shuttle bus locations, from where they can board bus services
We are in contact with all taxi and private hire vehicles operators in Hull and the East Riding and have asked them to let us know if they have taken bookings, providing time of booking, number of passengers, make, model and registration of vehicle. This will enable us to plan transport operations and offer advice about road closures, which will affect taxi journey times.
If you plan to travel by taxi from outside Hull or the East Riding, please ask your taxi operator to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
During busy periods (9am – 2pm and 9pm – midnight) there will be a large number of shuttle buses on the routes and taxi journeys will take longer than usual.
Please do not contact us regarding individual taxi bookings as we will unable to help. You will need to contact the relevant taxi company.
