7 Reasons to Shop at Hull’s Poorboy Boutique

Grab yourself a vintage gem.

Based in Hull’s Princes Quay shopping centre, Poorboy Boutique offer a fabulous range of men’s and women’s clothing, covering every era from the 1950s-1990s.

The team behind the shop discover unloved and unwanted vintage gems, reworking them to create incredible and unique garments. The shop are only becoming more and more popular, thanks to their exclusive range of one off pieces and a diverse selection of accessories to top off the perfect outfit.

So why visit? Here are seven reasons.

1. One off pieces – What’s more satisfying than taking home a bunch of threads no-one else can get their paws on? Vintage heaven.

2. They support local artists –  Poorboy welcome exclusive artist signings, live music and even stock clothing by local rapper Nineties Boy. They’ve also been known to showcase live modelling in their shop window.

3. Their range of tracktops – Their best sellers are a fantastic range of bad ass, original 80s/90s trackie hoodies and tracktops. Their branded sweaters are also pretty mega and there’s a heap to choose from.

4. You can see what’s on offer – Sounds obvious, but many vintage stores ram their stock to the point where it can turn into one mega rummage sale. Poorboy offer stress free browsin’ so you’ll be maxin’ relaxin’ in your new threads in no time!

5. The décor

6. Each item is made in Hull – Poorboy’s in-store team create and distribute all of their designs from a local warehouse in West Hull.

7. Their menswear collection – Unlike many clothing shops which focus mainly on the ladies, Poorboy are rather popular with the boys. Overall they take 60% on menswear and are always on the look out for new threads for the fellas.

Keep up to date with what Poorboy are getting up to via their fantastic blog, which offers information on the latest events, discounts and fashion inspiration from Hull and around the world. Or alternatively, hit them up on their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
